Arthritis Foundation Self-Help Program, formerly known as the Arthritis Self-Help Course, this in-depth program developed at Stanford University teaches knowledge and skills needed to better manage arthritis. Classes cover ways to reduce pain and stress, cope with fatigue, use medications wisely and benefit from exercise. It is perfect for the newly diagnosed as well as those whose arthritis requires more aggressive management.
Building on the successful formats of courses previously offered by the Arthritis Foundation, the new series provides similar programs but with updated content to help ensure routines are safer and information is on par with the latest arthritis research. The courses have also been designed to provide flexible formats that can be customized according to the participants' needs.
